What does it cost to cancel?
It depends entirely on whether the hauler has already set off, because that is when a cancellation starts costing them real money.
Before departure, cancelling is free. The hold on your card is released.
After the hauler has departed but before pickup, the charge is the greater of $75 or $2.25 for each mile they drove to reach you. If no distance was recorded, the $75 floor applies.
After pickup, the full accepted bid is owed.
In every one of those cases the entire amount goes to the hauler. HaulHand takes no fee on a cancellation — we do not profit from a haul that did not happen.
There is one exception in the shipper's favour: if you cancel after the posted pickup window has ended and the load still has not been collected, no charge applies and the hold is released.
Get in early
HaulHand is open and it is new — some days there are loads on the board and some days there are none, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Tell us what you move and where you run, and we will tell you when your corridor is busy.
